t anyone who has a business on the Internet uses article marketing as part of their marketing efforts. Article marketing is when a person writes an article related to a product or service they’re offering in an attempt to get more people to become their customer. Unfortunately not many people even know the right way to write articles.
One of the keys to writing articles is to make sure they will rank high on the search engines. This is done through search engine optimization. This means that the article is written using a keyword or a keyword phrase in the article so that the article appears when that keyword or keyword phrase is searched for.
Just about everyone who writes articles knows that the articles have to be search engine optimized. So this is followed but the other key for the right way to write articles is completely overlooked. The other key ingredient is to make sure the article is well-written, easy to read, and informative.
Too many people simply write an article as fast as they can and pump it full of keywords or a keyword phrases and then throw it up on the Internet. The article is not educational and has no value to anyone. So people will find the article but they won’t go any further.
So anyone writing an article has to remember there are two steps that must be taken by any potential customers. First the person has to find the article and then they have to read it and find enough value to want to continue to where the article directs them.
There are many people who write articles but absolutely it. Many of these people also have no idea how to write a good article. Luckily there is a formula they can follow.
The first part of a good article is the title. The title should include the keyword or keyword phrase and it should also promise to give a benefit to the reader. For example, it might promise it will tell them how to save money on gas or it might promise to tell them how to write an article the correct way (just as the title of this article does). One thing to keep in mind is to always give people a list or a specific number of solutions to a problem. People love reading these types of articles.
Next an introduction has to be written. This will introduce the reader to the topic and should include a “hook” – something that will keep the people reading.
Then in the body of the article, you should give them the benefit that was promised in the title. Make sure you give them what was promised. If you promised “4 Ways to Save Money on Gas” then you better give them 4 ways to save money on gas. If not, they’ll get disgusted and simply click-out of your article.
Finally, in the conclusion you should just sum-up what the entire article was about. Some people like to make the conclusion a mirror image of the introduction.
Many people write articles and post them on the Internet but not many people actually know the right way to write articles. A good article needs to be optimized for search engines and it also needs to be well-written so that the article leads the reader to where you want them to go.

How to Make Money Online Writing Articles

What is wrong with that paragraph? Did you spot the deliberate mistake? NO? Then read it again and see if you can find the false statement. It might not be too obvious, but it should become so if you consider the reason that the vast majority of people have a website. It’s not to have it admired for the fabulous design, the graphics and the masterful writing. It’s not even to attract massive amounts of traffic to your website. It’s none of these things. Got it yet?
It’s to make money! There’s no point in all these beautiful graphics and intelligent search engine optimization if you aren’t making money. So what’s the purpose of writing articles? To make money of course, and that is why you need the resources of article directories and ezines to help you. The fact is that the vast majority of people that try to make money online have no idea how to do it. They don’t know how to advertise a product – if they have a product, that is. Most have no product and rely on other people to provide one.
There’s nothing wrong with that, because practically all offline stores sell products made or produced by other people. However, if you want to sell something online you have to know how to promote it, and that is where articles can come into the equation. The proper use of article marketing using well written articles that not only attract interest, but also persuade readers to visit your chosen web page, can make the difference between success and failure (that web page need not be yours!).
Given all of that, how do you use articles to make money? Very few people are trying to find out, because if you do a keyword search using the terms ‘article’ and ‘money’ you get next to nothing. Similarly with ‘articles’ and ‘cash’. However, a lot more are seeking information on article marketing, since ‘article marketing’ offers 27,000 results on the Google keyword tool, and ‘marketing articles’ almost twice that number. That is using Google’s keyword tool based upon searches for these keywords, not the number of web pages providing the information.
There are a number of ways in which writing articles can be used online to make money, the most lucrative being getting your articles listed on Page 1 of Google for its keyword, or even its title if that has a good number of searches going for it. Don’t be fooled by the number of other sites on Google providing the same information, since the search engine appears to give a higher weighting to content on article directories than that on ordinary web pages.
They might deny it, but that’s the way it seems to me and others, and why we write so many articles. I get better traffic results by submitting an article to the top 20 directories than I do publishing it on my own website. So why bother with a website? A good question, although there are reasons and this is not the place to discuss them.
There are places where the proper answers to these questions are provided, and the purpose of this article is to point out that many people have the wrong outlook on articles and why they are written. They are written to make money, and to achieve that you not only need content and readers, but you need these readers to be in a continual supply: such as you will get on a search engine.
So if your article is listed on a search engine, with no other competition on the page, you will be onto a winner. Guess what? That’s what you get when your article is published on an article directory, and that page is listed on a search engine. No competition: just your article and your resource sending readers to your chosen web page. Writing articles can be used to make money, but only if you understand article marketing, and the right way to go about marketing articles for profit.
Fewer people understand how to make money online writing articles than you would believe, but if you can understand how to achieve it then you have cracked two of the major problems involved in making money online: marketing and publicity.

If you are not accustomed to writing, you probably think you would not be able to write worthwhile articles for publication. If you are really unable to write your own articles, you could employ a ghost writer to write articles to order or you could invest in PLR (Private Label Rights) articles. Having articles ghost-written to your order is the better solution but can be expensive.
If your budget won’t stretch to hiring a ghost-writer, buying good PLR articles would be your only real option. There are two points to note here:
1. They must be good PLR articles, the more expensive kind which are sold on a limited edition basis. Don’t waste your money on cheap PLR articles that are offered for sale to thousands of people and which read as if they had been written by a drunken foreigner.
2. PLR articles should not be used just as they come, they should be re-written to at least some extent (25% change to the content at the minimum, although more is better) but, of course, if you don’t want to do any writing at all, this is not really going to be the answer for you.
It is far better to learn how to write articles, and I believe almost anyone with normal literacy skills should be capable of producing good articles with a little effort and some practice.
Why do people assume they can’t write articles? The main reason is that writing articles is an alien activity for most people once they have left school or university. Most of us never have to write anything longer than a text message or a greeting in a birthday card, and writing articles is a skill we have to learn from scratch. This is where younger people (particularly students) have the advantage: they are quite used to essay writing for school or college, so they can easily adapt to writing articles.
If you are up for the challenge of learning how to write articles, there is no shortage of resources to help you: just doing a simple search online will locate numerous articles on the subject of writing in general and writing ezine articles in particular. You can work through all 10 steps at your own speed but, first of all, I would recommend studying the chapter about how to structure an ezine article. Once you understand how to structure an article, and have completed your first article, becoming proficient at article writing is just a matter of practicing.

There are many ways to make money online. The most effective and cost efficient is probably article marketing. Using the manual submission method, it is absolutely free and will bring highly targeted visitors to your website. Here’s a few pointers on how to make money online by writing articles.
The nice thing about using article marketing, besides the fact that it is free, is that you do not have to be an expert author or writer. Just simply write about your experiences and views on the subject in your own words. Most people can do this easily because you are only writing between 400 – 500 words.
